I had a random memory at work today.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned this here before, but I used to take Tae Kwon Do back in middle school and grade 9. My brother and I would go there after school usually about 2 or 3 days a week. I remember never wanting to go on Fridays because those were sparring days. I have little stamina, so sparring was tough for me
Anyway, this particular memory is not of a Friday class. We were all lined up to practice our kicks — I think it was a roundhouse kick — and we had to do it extra high and with our left foot.
So there I am, doing my left-foot kick. Please know I’m usually very good with my kicks. I have good balance and strength. I make the kick. The next thing I know, I’m on the floor with all the wind knocked out of me. I don’t even remember falling, and I wasn’t feeling ill that day.
There’s no real point to this story, just a random memory I felt like sharing.
