Are you ready.
Are you ready?
The sun and stars dancing
Tell me take the chance
Are you ready?
I want to see
The sea, the world beyond
This place we must be
Are you ready?
Take me
I want to go far places
See them night and day
Are you ready?
I will leave
Travel this world of splendour
Beyond reach of men
Are you ready?
You can come with me
Are you ready?
Are you ready?

Let’s go!

Monty Python’s Money Song

The folks at Monty Python were truly brilliant. They could always bring out a laugh from someone, while at the same time offending many others (not that they minded offending people, since that was their goal). It’s not too often you find people with such a brand of humour.

This particular sketch reminds me of pretty much every stereotypical jerk you see or hear about, both in real life and on TV. Mostly, it just makes me laugh because of the silly tune and lighthearted lyrics.

The Great Villains’ Conference of Evil!

This is just a little something my brother and I came up with while taking the dogs for a walk. I actually really wish I’d recorded this, since my brother does hilarious voices sometimes, but this will have to do. Continue reading

Stats and Spring: Complaining meets Beauty

I’ve noticed that my stats page is starting to resemble a tidal chart, except far less predictable. For some reason or another, I’ve been getting more views the day after I make a post than on the actual day I post something, no matter how early in the day it is.

Had a spike of activity around the middle of February, as you can see, but it’s been shallow wading ever since.

Had a spike of activity around the middle of February, as you can see, but it’s been shallow wading ever since.

The past few weeks have been a particularly dry period, with multiple days of seeing not a single view. I find this strange because I still find people leaving likes on my posts on those days. I’m not sure if the stats thing is broken or if it’s some weird condition/quirk of the system.

Spring has more or less arrived in my little corner of the world. Trees are covered in blooming flowers, and the cherry tree in the yard is already dropping petals like snow.

I was walking the dogs with my brother the other day and decided to take a few pictures, just to share with the rest of you. Here they are, Spring in all her glory.

As you can probably tell, I’m a huge fan of the “Super Vivid” setting on my camera. This is especially true when it comes to photos for the River. Let’s face it, nature just looks so much better when the greens actually look alive.

Anyway, that’s all for now. Take care of yourselves, sprites, and have an amazing Spring break!

Sailor’s Regrets

Here I lay and look towards

That cliff whereupon my heart

Residing still does weep

For being apart so long from me

So cruel to leave you here behind

I set out for greater things

To cross far wilder lands

Across the great blue sea

And now I have returned

Though not quite to your arms

My ship lays crushed around

Like your heart, dead as me
