Hey, Sprites! Sorry it’s been a while. Here’s a little update on what I’ve been doing this summer, and some pictures, just for fun.
Back in July I watched the Venezuela showing for the Celebration of lights in Vancouver. It wasn’t quite as spectacular as I’d hoped, but I still had a good time.
I also went to check out the dinosaur exhibit at Science World. They were focusing on Dinosaurs from the southern hemisphere, so there weren’t any T-Rex or anything like that. Super cool, though, and the conservation exhibits were really interesting too. They had a chicken wandering around!
And finally, this was my second year at Anime Revolution in Vancouver. I had a blast making omomori charms, taking pictures of cosplayers, and checking out the vendor booths. I also went to see Richard Cox (the voice of Inuyasha, among other characters) do a Q&A panel. He’s hilarious! No pictures of him, though. The 404’s, a comedy improv group, were also there and I checked out one of their events. There was also Smash Brothers. Always Smash Brothers. I’m very not good at it. Not quite bad, but definitely not good.
So, that has been my summer. Nothing much else planned aside from a Gilbert and Sullivan showing at Bard on the Beach at the end of the month. I probably could have gone outside more (though a full-time job makes that hard most days), but I think all in all I’ve had a very fulfilling summer. I had fun, made some friends, and saw some really cool stuff.
Anyway, that’s all for this time, Sprites. Look forward to my next post, whatever it may turn out to be. I hope to get back into a weekly post schedule again, or at least bi-weekly, fairly soon.
